Be the Difference is about teaching our world the warning signs of suicide and how we can step into someone’s life to Be Their Difference.


This video is the product of a collaborative effort by the Santa Clarita Valley Suicide Prevention, Postvention and Wellness Committee. Viewers are advised that there is strong emotional content dealing with suicide. Viewing may trigger thoughts, memories and feelings. The film is not recommended for youth under the age of 16 unless accompanied by an adult who can offer support and perspective.

  • The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (formerly known as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline) offers 24/7 call, text and chat access to trained crisis counselors who can help people experiencing suicidal, substance use, and/or mental health crisis, or any other kind of emotional distress. People can also dial 988 if they are worried about a loved one who may need crisis support.
